Not a Box by Antoinette Portis is a clever, playful picture book that turns imagination into an adventure. A simple cardboard box becomes a rocket, a mountain, a racecar, and so much more as one small rabbit shows how ordinary things can become extraordinary with a little creativity.
Perfect for young readers and read-aloud time, this charming story celebrates curiosity, pretend play, and seeing the world in new ways. With its lighthearted humor and minimal text, Not a Box encourages children to think big, imagine freely, and discover endless possibilities in everyday moments.
