Somebody Is Walking on Your Grave: My Cemetery Journeys by Mariana Enriquez is a haunting, atmospheric book that moves through graveyards, memorial spaces, and the stories they contain. With Enriquez’s sharp, mesmerising voice, this journey through cemeteries becomes a meditation on memory, death, history, and the strange pull of places where the living and the dead seem to meet.
Readers who enjoy literary nonfiction with a gothic edge will find much to savour here. Part travelogue, part cultural exploration, it offers unsettling observations, rich atmosphere, and reflective prose that lingers long after the final page.
