Square by Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen is a witty, minimalist picture book with a warm, offbeat sense of humour. The story follows Square, one of the memorable characters in this charmingly simple tale, as everyday moments turn into thoughtful and funny discoveries. Jon Klassen’s distinctive artwork and Mac Barnett’s playful storytelling make it a delight for children and adults alike.
This book is a lovely read for those who enjoy imaginative fiction with subtle life lessons, gentle comedy, and expressive illustrations. Square is ideal for sharing aloud, sparking conversation, and enjoying a book that is as clever as it is deceptively simple.
